What’s New with NQMBC 2.0?

Dear NQMBC Center of Excellence,

Congratulations on achieving & maintaining your Center of Excellence Certification with the NQMBC program. As many of you may know, NCBC is getting ready to launch our new NQMBC 2.0 database. This will include the launch of the new and improved database functionality along with updates and improvements in our quality measures.

NCBC wants this to be a positive experience for everyone so we have decided to grandfather our Centers of Excellence facilities during January – December 2019, while you learn the new quality requirements.

Here is what you will need to do to maintain your certification level during this grandfathered period:

  1. Make sure that your NCBC Membership is paid and stays current
  2. Maintain entering data into the NQMBC System, at a minimum of every 6 months.

Meeting the above requirements will allow you to remain current in 2019, keeping your Center of Excellence Certification status. You will be required to renew again at the time of your 2020 expiration date.

Please contact Aerial at the NCBC office at aerial@breastcare.org or by phone at 574-401-8113 and let her know if you need a new certificate valid until 2020 or if you would like to recertify by  meeting the new criteria.

Sincerely,

Kimberly Bolin

Dear NQMBC Certified User,

As many of you may know, NCBC is getting ready to launch our new NQMBC 2.0 database. This will include the launch of the new and improve database functionality and some changes in our quality measures.

NCBC wants this to be a positive experience for everyone so we are giving you two options for certification for 2019.

To maintain your current certification level for 2019:

Since 2019 is a transition year, with some new measures being added and some being retired at the end of the year, we have decided to grandfather you for 2019 to maintain your current certification level.

Here is what you will need to do to maintain your certification level during this grandfathered period:

  1. Make sure that your NCBC Membership is paid and stays current
  2. Continue entering data into the NQMBC System, at a minimum of every 6 months

If you meet the above requirements, you will remain current in 2019, keeping your current certification status and not be required to renew until your 2020 expiration date.

To move up a certification level:

If you are working hard to move up to the next certification level, we will allow you to do so as long as your data is entered into our current system by January 15, 2019, and you meet the performance requirements.

After January 15, 2019 you can still move up but will have to certify using the new standards.

Please contact Aerial at the NCBC office at aerial@breastcare.org or by phone at 574-401-8113 and let her know if you need a new certificate valid until 2020 or if you would like to recertify with meeting the new criteria.

Sincerely,

Kimberly Bolin
